MENG 4323 Introduction to Industrial Robotics

An overview of industrial robots including manipulator arm selection guidelines and the application of robots in manufacturing and assembly. Principles of kinematics, dynamics and control of robotic manipulators. Robotic sensors, end effectors and actuators. Coordinate frames and homogeneous transformations. Robotic system integration, and path planning. Industrial robot programming in a laboratory setting. Three hours of lecture per week with integrated laboratory sessions.

MENG 3309, MATH 3203 and MATH 3305.
