PHAR 7164 Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience 4

The Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) PHAR 7164 course provides students with an introductory understanding of community pharmacy practice in an independent setting. This includes but is not limited to introductory prescription processing, various aspects of owning a business, specialty services and other practice skills.  As part of the course, there will be weekly integration assignments that brings real-life perspectives to the didactic material that the students are learning in the classroom. Additionally, there will be three (3) required session activities that must be completed by the end of the rotation to advance the student’s knowledge of practice. Finally, the top 200 prescription medications, top 100 nonprescription medications and 100 medical terms will be assigned as a self-study and assessed throughout the course.
