PHAR 7245 Pharmacy Practice Skills Laboratory – 5

This laboratory course focuses on the application of skills and resources needed for pharmacists to function in a hospital setting to perform sterile compounding and to guide patients’ health care, curative, preventive and wellness behaviors. Topics include lab assessment of renal function, pH and electrolyte balance, epidemiology and pathophysiology of the kidney and related diseases, anatomy and physiology of hematopoiesis and anemia, coagulation and related diseases.
