PHAR 7245 Pharmacy Practice Skills Laboratory – 5

This laboratory course introduces new clinical concepts while expanding on previously learned principles. In the first part of the course, PharmD candidates will be introduced to the principles of clinical research design needed for interpretation and evaluation of the medical literature and assessment of research reports and proposals. This is followed by discussion of clinical approaches to acute care medicine. In the second part of the course, PharmD candidates will develop proficiency with compounding sterile formulations employing proper aseptic techniques according to USP 797/800 standards.
