Off-Campus Locations

The University of Texas offers selected courses and degree programs at the Longview University Center, the UT Tyler Palestine Campus and the Houston Engineering Center.

Longview University Center

The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center is located at 3201 N. Eastman Road in Longview, Texas. Students experience cost-saving convenience and greater flexibility in scheduling classes. The entire bachelor of science in nursing curriculum is offered on the campus of the Longview University Center. Nursing students attend traditional face-to-face courses that are led by full-time, fully accredited, on-site faculty members. In addition, the LUC offers courses in the fields of technology, human resources, public administration, and criminal justice. Palestine Campus

The University of Texas at Tyler, Palestine Campus originated in 1995 and is now located at 100 University Boulevard along Loop 256, one quarter mile south of Hwy 287/Hwy 19 in Palestine, Texas. The modern Mathis Hall building, which opened in 2010, includes an on-site library and computer lab with online access to the Muntz Library, a New Nursing Skills and Simulation Learning Laboratory (opening August 2014), two student break areas, relaxing outdoor patio areas, and modern hi-tech classrooms with wireless internet access, all in a beautiful park-like setting. The Palestine BSN Nursing program, the university’s first PATSS Hyflex BSN Nursing curriculum, allows students to learn from expert on-site faculty and interactive online content. The PATSS program requires less on-campus time, freeing students for a variety of excellent clinical experiences in Palestine and the greater East Texas region. 

Houston Engineering Center

The University of Texas at Tyler Houston Engineering Center is located in the heart of the West Houston Energy Corridor at 2811 Hayes Road on the Houston Community College Campus. Upper division coursework leading to bachelor’s degrees from UT Tyler in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering is available through the center. On-site faculty provide the majority of the instruction for the degree programs, and
well-equipped modern classrooms and teaching laboratories are available to students.
