PHAR 7168 Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) 8

The Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) PHAR 7168 course provides student interns with a more advanced understanding of institutional pharmacy practice.  This includes but is not limited to medication order processing, the patient care process, pharmacy management procedures, drug information and discharge counseling.  As part of the course, there will be weekly integration assignments that brings real-life perspectives to the didactic material that the students are learning in the classroom. Additionally, there will be three (3) required session activities that must be completed by the end of the rotation to advance the student’s knowledge of practice.
